This is an old photo from way back when I lived in England. When I came across this picture I remember the exact moment I took it. I was in a bad place emotionally, the world I thought I had, no longer existed. I was so depressed it felt like I was having an out of body experience. Like I was observing myself drift through life.
Fortunately my best friend has always been photography. I grabbed my camera and headed out to the woods just outside of the town I was living. I walked for a while then I came upon this scene. The peace and majesty, the shear beauty overwhelmed me, I felt this surge of energy that I can only describe as love. I had the overwhelming sense that all was not only how it should be, but all was good.
The photograph does not come close to capturing the scene, but it acts as a wonderful reminder to me that whenever life gets tough, a good dose of nature can help put things into perspective!
